As I write this post, it has been 110 days—nearly four months!—since I’ve gone shopping. Nary an item as crossed my e-cart since the start of the year, and I’ve pretty happily been mining my closet for new(ish) things to wear rather than going out and buying something new.
That being said, I’d be lying if I said that a few special pieces haven’t caught my attention. As the season changes and all my favorite stores are bringing out their best spring and summer wares, I’ve been especially tempted by ruffled, romantic silhouettes and unique accessories that add a bit of quirk and charm to even the most basic warm weather outfit.
Take, for instance, that sweet little lemon-print silk scarf. Wouldn’t she look just darling knotted over a chambray shirt? And those pearl-topped sandals would look perfect paired with some shredded denim shorts and a crisp white off-the-shoulder top for the perfect mix of edge and polish. I could go on and on (I mean, that cherry red gingham skirt styled with that mother-of-pearl Cult Gaia bag would be so dreamy), but instead I’ll bring this post to a close with one only slightly desperate imperative: please someone buy these things and then email me pictures so I can live vicariously through you and your newly updated wardrobe. That’s all I ask!
