A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of showing my little sister around New York City. I bought tickets to Hamilton last summer, and since Genevieve had fallen in love with the musical in the meantime, my mom kindly offered to sponsor a sisters’ trip to the big city. Thanks, Mom!
On our first full day in the city, we started with a delicious brunch at Russ & Daughters. Then, fueled by matzo ball soup and lox, we headed to The Met and took in as much art as our eyeballs could handle. In need of a snack and wanting to enjoy the sunny summer day, we found our way to Ladurée where we selected our favorite flavors of macarons and took a couple of iced lattes to go.
Our next stop was Central Park, where we wandered to our hearts’ content and Genevieve was nice enough to snap these photos of me just beyond the Bow Bridge. These high-waisted denim culottes have been on heavy rotation lately, and I’ve taken to unbuttoning and tying my favorite silk blouses at the waist for a more summery look.
