You know how the shopping gods always seem to spite you? Like when you have some spending money and want to treat yourself but you can’t find a single thing you want? And the second you stop in for some window shopping when you’re trying to save, everything is perfect and everything is on sale and everything is your size?? Well, that happened to me recently and after the amazing haul I scored at Zara, I’m not complaining.
Among my favorite finds of the day was this emerald green maxi skirt. Since I’m a tad on the short side, it’s hard for me to find long skirts that don’t overwhelm me. The thing I love about this skirt, aside from the vibrant color, is the way it’s cut. The top of the skirt flows straight down, then flares at the bottom for maximum drama and minimum excess fabric (for me to trip on). And since it doesn’t get too cold here in SF, this is the perfect winter skirt when paired with black suede booties and my favorite moto jacket.
